Making every person feel represented

Vote for a woman
Representativeness means diversity, which is currently lacking in most political systems. This initiative aims to encourage people to vote for a woman lower positioned on the party list of elections. Why? Those women highly ranked will take the seat anyway, but we also give a chance to new, more diverse voices to be heard.

Lottery selection
People won’t feel represented, when politics looks like an exclusivist occupation, performed by (mainly) white, upper class men. One way of counteracting that is ‘Selection by lot’. Half of the ruling bodies are, for instance, filled not with elected politicians, but randomly selected citizens which can actively contribute in the politics of their community. There are experiments with lottery all over the world. Interested in how such a thing is working? Follow Belgium’s example.
